At Het Veerhuis we handle your data with care. Below you can read, briefly and clearly, what data we use, why we use it, and what you can do yourself.

What data we use
- When you get in touch or make a booking: your name, your contact details and whatever you tell us in your message or booking.
- When you book a stay, workshop, session or retreat: the details needed to arrange it, such as dates and number of people.
We only ask for what we really need. Please do not send us sensitive data, such as health information, by email or through the contact form, unless we ask for it ourselves.
Why we use it
- To answer and carry out your question or booking.
- To arrange appointments, payments and invoices.
- To meet legal obligations, such as bookkeeping.
How long we keep it
No longer than necessary. We keep administrative data for as long as the law requires.
Who we share it with
Only with parties who help us do our work, such as email, booking and bookkeeping services. We do not sell your data and do not use it for other purposes.
Your rights
You can always ask for:
- access to your data;
- correction or deletion of your data;
- restriction of use, or to object to it;
- a copy of your data.
Email booking@veerhuis.nl for this. We reply within one month. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
Daily overview for internal use
Het Veerhuis uses an internal service that emails a personal daily overview to its founder every morning. To do this, the service reads, with consent, only the founder's own Google account: email (reading, and sending this overview), calendar and tasks. The service is not available to anyone else and does not collect data from visitors or guests.
How we handle Google data:
- We use it only to create and send the daily overview.
- To compile the overview, short pieces of text, such as subjects and senders of emails and titles of appointments, are temporarily processed by an AI model through a processor. This happens only to create the overview.
- We do not share it with others, do not use it for advertising and do not use it ourselves to train AI models.
- Our use of information received from Google APIs complies with the Limited Use requirements of the Google API Services User Data Policy.
